The Uttar Dinajpur Ankur Gram Unnayan Society brings over a decade of robust experience in executing community-led programs in the Uttar Dinajpur district. Our track record includes serving as a reliable Implementation Support Agency (ISA) for Two Years from 2023 to 2024 under the esteemed Jal Jeevan Mission in Pashim Bardhaman, West Bengal. Notably, our commitment to excellence is underscored by work order/memo number 5774, dated 09/11/2022, issued by the Public Health Engineering Directorate, Government of West Bengal (Resources Division). This recognition highlights our ability to effectively implement vital initiatives that improve community access to essential resources.

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), the Uttar Dinajpur Ankur Gram Unnayan Society has emerged as a critical force in advancing rural sanitation initiatives. Since 2015, the society has spearheaded the construction of Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) and community toilets, transforming the sanitation landscape in the villages of Uttar Dinajpur. Through dedicated efforts in raising awareness and actively engaging communities, the society not only fosters greater acceptance and use of sanitary facilities but also promotes their proper maintenance. This commitment to improving public health and hygiene makes the society an invaluable partner in building a cleaner and healthier future for rural communities.

The Uttar Dinajpur Ankur Gram Unnayan Society from its inception engages directly with rural people to assess their needs and execute programs that improve livelihoods, provide access to healthcare and education, and support environmental sustainability, with an emphasis on empowerment and capacity building. The society through NABARD Scheme promotes agriculture and rural development, including financial assistance for implementing programs and promoting Self Help Groups (SHGs) in different areas of Uttar Dinajpur District.
